Day Trip from Paris to La Frette-Sur-Seine: La Frette-Sur-Seine

Visit the small town of La-Frette-Sur-Seine in France. If you would like to visit Paris off the beaten path and away from mass tourism, you ought to check small towns such as La-Frette-Sur-Seine. La Frette-Sur-Seine it is a little suburban town built along the Seine river about 30 minutes away from Paris by train. Its population is about 6000.

Located 20 km North West of Paris in the department of Val d’Oise, it has been painted by many famous painters such as Paul Cezanne, Albert Marquet and Paul Signac. Japanese Painter Tadashi Kaminagai had once his atelier there. The French movie Association de Malfaiteurs was shot there in 1987. The town may be small about 2,02 km2 however, although smal in size, this town is culturally rich. Visit the town website here. I recently did a post on one of its neighboring towns Herblay-Sur-Seine, feel free to check it out here.
