As a Parisian, if there is one thing that I can tell you for a fact is that there is always something to do in French capital. Yes April is the perfect month to visit Paris for several reasons:
- Comfortable temperature compared to the summer months ( it is not too hot nor too cold).
- Hotels prices are affordable.
- Airfares are at a reasonable price.
- Less tourists.
- Beautiful spring sceneries with flowers blooming throughout the city.
How is Paris like in April?
In April, with the average temperature around 5° C or 60 °F, the city of love becomes more alive. With days getting longer, most of us tend to be out there and having a good time with friends and family. In additon, in April, school children get two weeks vacation in France so many non Parisians come to visit the city.
Is Paris crowded in April?
If you visit Paris during that time, you will skip the throngs of tourists that come in July, August and September.
Is Paris rainy in April ?
You get rainy days with many showers. It also gets cool early morning and in the evening with sunny and warm periods during the day. Pack a rain coat or a small umbrella if you can for rainy days.

Best spring things to do in Paris in April
If you are searching for things to do then you came to the right place. April is the best time to visit the city of light. The Paris weather is warm with longer days. It is the ideal time for guided walking tours, cruise on the Seine River, visit the Palais Garnier and enjoy many outdoor activities. Below are a few popular attractions that you could do so feel free to add them to your calendar.
- Museums are free the first Sunday of the month including the Louvre Museum to see the Mona Lisa.
- Enjoy a nice stroll from the Louvre Museum to the Arc de Triomphe.
- Visit Montmartre and the beautiul Latin Quarter
- Dior 30 Montaigne Gallery to admire beautiful pieces from the luxury fashion house and stroll along its three gardens. The entire place was renovated to give visitors one of a kind luxury experience. Check out the Dior Café while you are there. - Hasard Ludique for an open air activities. It is a big event located on a closed former Parisian metro station track ( DJ sets, barbecues, pétanque, markets etc…) free from 12pm to 10 pm.

The Paris Marathon is an institution here and is held every year around that time. The marathon can be viewed free of charge and fans can support the cyclists along the road.

Café de la Paix is a restaurant overlooking the Opéra Garnier in Paris, a true Parisian institution for over a century and a half. Kindly note that writer Oscar Wilde was a frequent guest during his time in Paris.
Disneyland Paris
Whether you plan on meeting your beloved Disney characters or indulging in delectable treats, the combination of mild temperatures and endless entertainment makes April an exceptional time to visit and to bring the kids.
La Foire du Trône
The Foire du Trône is a Parisian fair located on the lawn of Reuilly in the Bois the Vincennes in the 12th arrondissement. It’s the biggest travelling fair in France. It is a great place to unwine, ride the attractions and also bring the kids.
Day trip to Auvers-Sur-Oise
Auvers-sur-Oise is undoubtedly one of the best places to visit for a day trip. Notably, the village is renowned as the resting place of Dutch painter Van Gogh, and is characterized by the many paintings he created, depicting life there.

Day trip to Giverny
Book a day trip to Giverny, Normandy to walk in the footsteps of the father of impressionism, Claude Monet. Soak up the particular atmosphere of his house, studio, gardens and the beautiful ldanscapes dear to him.
