Spring is definitely a great time to visit Paris, the city of lights. Although Covid-19 had interrupted international travel, you can still start planning ahead for when traveling will reopen. If you are looking for free things to do around the city you came to the right place.
National Monuments
Most national monuments are free like the Hotel de Sully. Built from 1625 near Place Royale (today Place des Vosges), this townhouse was commissioned by King Henry IV of France and overseen by Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully (1559-1641). The Duke bought the residence in 1634. It stayed in the Sully family until the mid-18th century. Madame de Sévigné and Voltaire both stayed there.
Parks and Gardens
The Albert Khan Garden will take you to Japan without you having to travel there. You get the best of both world. you can also enjoy a picnic at the Parc Monceau that covers parts of the 8th and 17th districts of Paris.
Museums
If you don’t mind the crowd, The Louvre Museum is open every Saturday from 6 pm to 9:45pm. Permanent collections at national museums are free every day for those from the European Union 26 and younger. The Fragonard Museum is also free.
The Educational Farm of Paris
This farm sits on 5 hectares in the bois de Bois de Vincennes located in the city of Vincennes. Although it is mostly for children, on weekends visitors can enjoy farm work interactions with horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, hens, roosters and rabbits.
Dancing
Lots of dancing events are organized in the city during the warm days at the Tino-Rossi Garden, quai Saint-Bernard in Paris 5th district for fans of folk and traditonal dancing on certain nights. So make sure to pack a good pair of dancing shoes because you never know, you might be tempted to let loose on the dance floor.
