Although right now Covid-19 has made it difficult for many of us to travel,however, we can still plan for our next travel for when travel resumes safelty. In this blog post, I will share my tips on how you can cut costs while traveling.

With that said, let’s see how you can save money while traveling.

1.Travel with a friend (s) to cut costs.

2. Check for flights in advance especially if you plan on traveling abroad.

If you choose to travel in January or February start searching for flights 6 to 3 months before your departure date.

3. Rent a minivan solo or with friends.

Van life has been really trending lately as a lot of people are turning toward this travel options to save money. For more info about the van life click here.

4. Combine your trips.

If you plan to visit Paris, France go to London, Bruxelles, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Germany etc…For example, a train ticket from Paris Gare du Nord to London St Pancras International will cost you round trip around 64 euros if you book your trip on Eurostar when they’re having deals from Paris to London.

5.Take the bus

To save even more money, take the bus instead of the train. A bus ride from Paris Gare de Bercy to Luxembourg City can cost round trip 20 euros on Flixbus if you don’t mind the 10h bus ride. ASome tickets depending of your final destination can cost as low as 5 euros. Also, after paying extra to get onour seats, we realized that it was a waste of money. Seats are on first come, first served. Just something you should know beofre you book your bus trip.

6. Don’t ever book a flight last minute.

You will end up paying up to 2,3 times the initial cost.

7.Travel off peak season including the Holiday season if possible .

Fall/winter and spring are great times to visit Paris for less.

8.Stay at reputable hostels to save money

9.Try travel search engines like Skyscanner.

Be willing to go anywhere to see what will cost you less.

In conclusion, if you plan early, research and are flexible, you can save money while traveling. Hope this blog post on how to cut costs while traveling will help you better plan your next rip around the world or to France.

    Great tips! Skyscanner is my go to for cheap flights, it’s amazing! Not only where you travel to, but how you travel as well, can mean all the difference with saving money.
